  • Anti-aging latest Must-Have!

Far and away, the latest greatest treasure in anti-aging would have to be the precious acai berry.  The anti-oxidant and health promoting properties of this little Amazon berry are impressive, to say the least. Until recently, acai was not only difficult to come by, but also difficult to incorporate into your daily health and skincare regimen. Not anymore. You can now buy acai berry supplements to add to your drinking water or even purchase little acai gummi snacks to carry in your purse. Try NV Perricone Super Berry Powder with Acai, or Borba Gummi Boosters which when used as directed are reported to remove toxins and improve skin clarity.  No wonder the girl from Ipanema was so beautiful!

  • Go green and stay hydrated

We all know how important it is to stay hydrated. Drinking fresh water regularly throughout the day keeps skin and other vital organs healthy and functioning properly. It’s no doubt that this fact spurred the water bottle craze that’s been going on for over 10 years.

It’s great that people are staying hydrated but there has been a huge drawback to all of this water-drinking and that is billions of little plastic water bottles in our landfills! Although recyclable in many cities, most of the bottles just get dumped in the trash. Plastic water bottles have now surpassed disposable diapers as the number one nuisance in our landfills.

People often grab a plastic water bottle when they are on the go to ensure they are getting fresh and good-tasting water. It’s easy and convenient but certainly wasteful. I have to admit that I occasionally buy the little bottle of water and while I try to recycle, I’m not always faithful. So I’ve been looking for a good alternative.

If you have a filtration system at home, you can fill reusable bottles with fresh water every day. However, it doesn’t solve the problem for people who need to refill bottles away from home.

Crystal Clear sells the Aquamira Filter Bottle, a portable bottle that holds 22 ounces of water. The filter is good for 230 refills! Think about all of the plastic you can save. Also, with bottles of water usually costing at least a buck, it’s also a big money saver. Clear Brook sells a similar portable water filter bottle. Both bottles allow you to get great tasting water from any potable water source when you’re out and about.

Keep drinking that water for your health’s sake but for the sake of the environment, opt for an alternative to the disposable plastic bottle!
