My older daughter Ashley was always trying to get me to straighten my hair. I’d say, “Honey, I like my curly hair.” I always thought it was soft and shiny and kind of cute curly. However, she would often tell me it was time to “join this millennium” and try and come at me with her flat iron in tow. I finally succumbed one day, and I couldn’t believe how cute it was. She was right! I even had a group of girlfriends tell me at lunch one day I looked ten years younger with straight hair. Of course, at that point I was sold on straightening.
