Facial Cleansers for Oily Skin! Part two.
Ok, hopefully you’ve read yesterday’s entry: Facial Cleansers for Oily Skin! Part one. If not, you probably should read it. If you don’t have time, here it is in a nutshell.
If you have oily skin and you’re using strong clarifying cleansers, exfoloiators, and/or are massaging the skin to aggressively you will end up in a vicious cycle of producing more oil. Don’t dry out the skin with irritating drying agents and cleansers or scrub the heck out of your skin with harsh exfoliators, because in the end those little sebum producing cells will work overtime and produce more oil.
I suggest you try one or two of the products below. They are highly rated cleansers and exfoliators for combination and oily skin that do not strip the skin. Most are considered “natural” (using ingredients such as botanicals instead of harsh chemicals) and leave the skin balanced, hydrated, and refreshingly clean and clear. Be sure to use as directed and remember two words…calm and soothe. No more power washing!!

I really loved this product. It helps keep my oily skin in check. The gentle exfoliation really helps turn over rough surface cells and old acne flakes. Does not over dry oily skin, can be used numerous times per day if you wish.
Pevonia Combination Skin Cleanser
My skin is oily and the tone is uneven. My friend left her Pevonia scrub at my apartment and I tried it... I am in love. My skin not only feels better, it looks better and was noticeably less greasy for THE ENTIRE day. I didn't even have to reapply powder. This is a miracle product. I'll never go back!

This is the best facial cleanser that I have found to actually deep clean my skin, remove makeup, and not over dry my face. Helps my oily skin look healthy and definitely reduces breakouts. I have been using it for about 2 years now and won't ever switch!
L’Occitane Red Rice Exfoliating Powder
This product does exactly what it describes it will! I had been using The Greatest Love, an exfoliator from Philosophy, until it was discontinued. It was a challenge to find a replacement exfoliator. This red rice powder is so gentle on the skin since it is so fine. And because the granules are not harsh, I did not expect it to work, but after only 3 weeks, my skin looks and feels noticeable different! If in doubt, I say ADD TO CART!
