What's on my Whish List?

It seems that when we talk about shaving on BeautyResearch.com, it usually revolves around men. So I’m feeling that women’s shaving products have been a bit neglected and I think it’s time to change that. It just so happens that Whish was kind enough to send us some products to try. Talk about perfect timing and what fun I’ve had in the bathroom this week!

A good shave starts with a great cream. Whish shave creams are a little unusual in that they don’t foam up like most shaving creams you’re probably used to. They are really more like a lotion. While the different texture takes a little getting used to, it does make for a good shave. You might just want to try leaving it on for a minute before you grab the razor. That will give the moisturizers a chance to soften the skin and hair. I noticed that Whish doesn’t use nasty chemicals so you nature lovers will really appreciate the paraben and sulfate-free formula.

The post-shave ritual is always tough for me because everything I do has to revolve around my self-tanner. My legs are very pasty and without a little faux glow, I can barely stand the sight of myself in shorts and skirts. Most of you should know by now about the importance of exfoliating prior to self-tanning. Sloughing off dead skin cells makes for a uniform tan with minimal streaking. Whish makes a delectable sugar scrub (I got the pomegranate and it smells delicious!) that really leaves my skin soft and smooth. I feel like there’s a light layer of moisture left behind after I rinse.

Because I self tan, I always have to use a moisturizer that doesn’t interfere with the chemical bronzing process. That’s where the Shave Savour Aftershave comes in. It’s a light moisturizing gel that inhibits hair growth so that I don’t have to shave as often. You can apply your self-tanner right over it with no problem. I have to say that this is not a super hydrating product so if you’re on the dry side or experience extra dry skin during the winter months, you might find that it’s not moisturizing enough for you. I find that when combined with the sugar scrub and my self-tanner, it’s perfect. What’s more, it’s been about five days since I’ve shaved and I feel like I have about a two or three day growth. Not bad!

I’m not the only one who has a great experience using these shaving products. Check out these Whish Reviews.

We always appreciate it when brands send us product to try so thank you Whish for allowing us to sample your goodies. It’s been a delight!

Hey Gina. Great article. I was just writing a forum entry about Whish. It certainly is a hot little brand right now and I love the products I've already tried and I plan on getting more! I have the Three Wishes Sugar Scrub and the Almond Shave Savour Aftershave. I love how my legs feel. Very good stuff. Gorgeous soft smooth and sexy legs can be had by all after just one whish!
