Emjoi - Emagine silky legs for weeks!
I hate shaving and I know I’m not the only one. It’s a royal pain in the behind and I can’t stand being stubbly the very next day. I keep thinking that there has to be a better way.
I’ve tried waxing but I always seem to miss a fair number of hairs. It also tugs on the skin and causes spider veins, something I’m genetically predisposed to. So what am I to do? Chemical depilatories smell terrible and have to remain on the skin for a significant period of time.
Aside from permanent laser hair removal, that leaves epilators. The first ones came out back when I was in high school and I asked my parents for one for my birthday but believe it or not, the sales lady talked them out of it because there had been so many returns. People reported that it was just too painful to use.
So I was interested to know how the next generation of epilators stands up. Has anyone heard of Emjoi? The company touts that the Emjoi Epilator is comfortable and highly effective. Could this really be true? My guinea pig ears perked up. I recently had the opportunity to put the Emjoi Emagine Epilator to the test! There’s also the Emjoi Divine which is conveniently cordless and a little more affordable but has fewer tweezer heads.
Overall I will say that I LOVE my Emjoi! I do however want to caution any of you interested in purchasing an Emjoi about going in with realistic expectations. First of all, I wouldn’t exactly describe the process as “comfortable”. After all, your hairs are being removed from the root. You’re going to experience a little discomfort but I certainly wouldn’t say it’s painful. It’s like little stinging pin pricks - no big deal. Second of all, it won’t get every single hair. Some will be stubborn and resist or break off. What I love is that you can go over missed areas without worries since there’s no tugging on the skin like with waxing. If there’s a hair, the Emjoi will grab it. If there’s not, nothing happens. I was able to get the large majority on the first pass which really pleased me. Following the process, I’m left with mild temporary red bumps that dissipate after only a few hours.
I give the Emjoi Emagine Epilator two enthusiastic thumbs up! It is so nice to be fuzz free without the need to shave. Plus, the effects lasts and lasts. Emjoi Hair Removal devices are perfect for me. When hairs do start reappearing, I simply do another pass of my Emjoi. Easy Peasy! I have to say that I have not yet been brave enough to use it on my bikini line or underarms. Some women claim that it doesn’t hurt if the skin is held taut. Can any of you offer any advice? The Emjoi has been getting rave reviews from customers so I know I’m not the only one in love with this dandy epilator!

I too love Emjoi! However, I too haven't been brave enough to do the bikini area but I want to cause I hate that whiskery (is that a word? LOL) stubble.
