Cool Tip for Soft, Bright, Smooth and Younger Looking Elbows
It’s been windy here in So Cal and my skin is starting to look and feel chapped, dry and dull. I keep my facial skin moisturized and treated but it seems I’ve been slacking on taking care of the skin on my body. A week or so ago I caught a glimpse of my elbows in a dressing store mirror and I was mortified. They were all dry and wrinkled and I thought to myself, “What the heck? I moisturize after my morning shower every single day!” But I knew after getting a gander of that pair of wrinkled old elbows I needed to do much more than simply apply body lotion over them after my morning bath.
I remember I used to whiten and brighten them by sinking them into two lemon halves and virtually bleach the heck out of them for 10 or 15 minutes, but this time it wasn’t so much that they appeared gray, ashy or had that dirty elbow look, but more that were dry, wrinkled and old looking…so I knew that my old lemon trick alone would not suffice. Not only did this make me realize I had ugly elbows I also started to take note of the condition of my hands. They were full of age spots, dry as a bone and wrinkled as well. This was a hand and arm emergency. I’m talkin’ DEFCON 1!
The funny thing is while I was working on my hands and nails to try and bring them back to a much more youthful and attractive state, I accidentally discovered my amazing elbow healing remedy. As I was applying my Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Crème to my cuticles I pondered what would happen if I were to apply the same balmy crème to my elbows. It made all the sense in the world to me as both my cuticles and elbows were in the same ragged state and I knew that the Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream has never once let me down for its actual use of snapping my hands and nails into a silkier, much more comfortable and youthful looking state.
It only took a half a second to give it a try. So I did. I simply took the little balm filled tin and rubbed it on both elbows and within an instant my elbows looked restored, rejuvenated and revitalized. Afterwards, I wanted to seal the deal with Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream which is one of my favorite hand creams for anti-aging and is a mega intensive treatment when I’m in desperate need of help with my hands. It’s an incredible antioxidant reparative treatment and keeps my hands feeling moisturized and soft all day long. My only mistake was not using it daily to begin with!
