Prevage Always Prevails

Idebenone the active ingredient in Elizabeth Arden’s Prevage has been available for use in topical skin care since approximately 2005. The ingredient (molecularly speaking) is the synthetic analog of ubiquinone (aka Co-enzyme Q10 or CoQ10) which has been studied for years to fight heart failure as well as some neurological conditions. The compound is used by the body to participate in cellular production as well as known to be a potent anti-oxidant (meaning it fights and prevents free radical damage).

Elizabeth Arden Prevage contains 0.5% idebenone, which is the concentration in which studies and clinical trials have proven that treat and repairs certain skin conditions such as aging skin (fine lines and wrinkles), dry skin and texture. Elizabeth Arden Prevage not only treats the skin but protects it from future free radical damage and virtually without the irritation associated with the stronger 1% idebenone found in other preparations such as Prevage MD. In fact, the studies were typically done with 0.5% which suggested that it more than likely works just as well as the more potent 1% idebenone products.

Even more impressive than the fact that the World renowned Elizabeth Arden brand offers a product which contains the superior Prevage ingredient idebenone, they have also created an entire Prevage line which revolves around the potent anti-oxidant and are all virtually 5 Star rated. The Elizabeth Arden line of Prevage products are reported to get better results than other products which contain well-known and respected antioxidant ingredients such as Co-Q10, alpha-lipoic acid, Vitamin C and or E, and kinetin. Additionally, the products are formulated in such a way as to potentiate the antioxidant repair reversing skin damage as well as future damage prevention.

Prevage Face Advanced Anti-Aging Serum by Elizabeth Arden a potent Prevage (or idebenone formulation) dramatically reduces the signs of aging skin by reducing the appearance of wrinkles, fading age spots, firming up skin tone and elasticity and improving the overall texture.

Elizabeth Arden also has a similar product for the delicate eye area called Prevage Eye Advanced Anti-Aging Serum. It is used to transform the skin around the eyes to become less lined, more firm, lifted and radiant.

For those of us who seek a daily and night time moisturizer with the unique ingredient, Elizabeth Arden has us covered. Allure Magazine’s Best of Beauty pick (Best of Skin for Top Splurges) in 2010 as well as Self Magazine’s Healthy Beauty Award 2010 for Sunscreen, were both indeed an Elizabeth Arden Prevage product. Prevage Ultra Protection Anti-Aging Moisturizer SPF 30 offers supreme hydration, superior protection and superb reparative properties. And for night-time repair the brand has Prevage Anti-Aging Night Cream by Elizabeth Arden with Mega Complex-A and a host of other nourishing and moisturizing ingredients formulated into an idebenone compounded cream. Additionally, the night cream potentiates the earlier daytime Prevage regimen promoting a radiant and amazingly younger looking skin.

Lastly, the brand steps back up to the plate with their brilliant Prevage Body Total Transforming Anti-Aging Moisturizer by Elizabeth Arden. This is another award winning hydrating product which promotes a smoother, firmer transformed skin of the body. Benefits include reparative functions which treat indications such as discoloration, texture, stretch marks, and poor elasticity, with results seen in as little as 6 weeks.

Elizabeth Arden hit’s it right out of the park with their Prevage line…and the reviews and studies prove it!
