They say that competition is great for business (which of course is true); but imagine competition that also contributes to its competitors by offering up great advice for them to succeed as well?! As an avid beauty blog reader, I’ve long been a fan of The Beauty Brains beauty blog because of their highly skilled and knowledgeable scientific and unbiased staff AND for their very informative and creative content; but as a beauty blogger myself… I’m categorically impressed with not only their knowledge, but their generosity in terms of helping others within the industry succeed as well.

Today I was particularly impressed with one of thebeautybrains’ author’s (aptly pen-named Right Brain!) because a reader asked:  “Should I soak my fingernails before I cut them?” And even though Right Brain had no specific scientific study to reference or cite (which oftentimes she and the other writers do), she still hypothesized a highly intelligent reply with what I considered to not only be accurate but also very helpful for the reader. She even elaborated to the point of giving the reader further ideas to deduce her own conclusion by telling her how to conduct her very own experiment to help her determine for herself what works best for her.
