I was lucky enough to get a sample of Stila Major Lash Mascara, and I'm very impressed with it. The large brush, while daunting at first, allows for great control and I ended up with long, thick lashes - not a single clump!

I'm living proof that pets can help you through a difficult time. My months of unemployment would have been much harder to deal with if I didn't have my cats to distract me. I wasn't as apt to feel sorry for myself with a purring cat on my lap.

I have a good friend who had successful bypass surgery over 5 years ago, and she has kept the weight off. She believes her success is largely due to her commitment to be informed and disciplined, following her doctor's guidelines to the letter. She felt so strongly about her experience that she went to work for her doctor and helped educate potential candidates for the surgery. She emphasized patient responsibility and the idea of working with the surgeon to ensure success.

My mom swears by a product called No-Crack. You can find it at Restoration Hardware. It's incredibly tacky so you'll only be able to tolerate it at night but it will get you through until you get your order. The L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream is the best. It saved me last winter!

Gina posted our "winner" recipe, with the corn meal base above. We also tried one using raw sugar along with avocado, banana and essential oils, but found it a bit too abrasive. We'll have to try brown sugar next time.

An easy home-body scrub can be made with olive oil and brown sugar, and then you can add any type of essential oil you like to different effects and scents. Also, if you add some vitamin E oil to the mixture, it will help preserve it for about a week.

I think you could probably get a little bit more life out of your body scrub by storing it in the fridge?

See, I think I would have to try and get around the one-product stipulation by saying my beauty must-have would be my cosmetics kit, packed with all of my favorite items!! But if forced to chose just one product (I would really be soo sad to only take one!), it would be Caudalie Eye and Lip Contour Cream.

I particularly like the eye cream. Not only does it have a lot of age fighting ingredients, but it's safe for use by just about everyone, even really sensitive skin!
